Mascot, Mood-Setter, and the Tallest Leprechaun in Chesterfield
He started as a nickname. The kids at a school book event gave it to him.
Every year, KilGO founder Jason Kilgo reads to students at his son’s school. Red beard, Irish, and a good bit taller than the average leprechaun. Somewhere in the middle of one of those readings, the kids landed on a name for him: the tallest leprechaun. It stuck the way the best nicknames do, immediately and without anyone’s permission.
In January 2025, we finally drew him.
The Chief Confidence Officer is what happened when a nickname got a suit, a pair of sunglasses, and an opinion about insurance. He isn’t licensed, he doesn’t quote policies, and he has never once answered the phone. What he does is stand for the thing the whole agency is built on: the feeling you get when your coverage is handled and you can stop thinking about it.
What He Does Best
- Setting the tone: Insurance is a serious business run by people who don’t have to be serious every minute of the day
- Showing up: Community events, sponsorships, school functions, and anywhere else a green suit is acceptable
- Explaining the hard stuff: He’s the face on the guides, checklists, and videos that break coverage down into plain English
Why People Remember Him
- He’s the only insurance mascot in central Virginia who owns sunglasses this committed
- Kids spot him first, which is usually how the parents end up meeting us
- He’s a reminder that behind the paperwork there’s a local team that actually knows your name
The fine print on a leprechaun
He doesn’t hold a license, so he can’t bind coverage, answer policy questions, or file your claim. For any of that, the humans are here: Meet the team · (804) 403-7400.
Ten years of KilGO. He only made it for the last stretch of them, but he’s made up for lost time. 🍀
